Growing our Community

Bringing the community together to grow our future

Wanneroo Community Garden is focused on inclusion and diversity. Bringing together all members of our community regardless of age, status or ability. Our community garden strives for sustainability and our goal is providing people with various opportunities to participate and interact with our community. We’ve been based in Wanneroo Town Central in Neville Park. Established in 2017, offering community members of all ages a chance to take part in sustainable gardening, garden education, and other special events. Interested in seeing how we work? Bringing our community together regardless of ability, age or race.

We are are community based not for profit association. Our vision is not just to provide free produce, also community interaction and a safe place for the vulnerable community members. We want to teach and share skills so people can create a haven in the smallest of spaces with minimum resources.

Wanneroo Community Garden was founded in 2017 by Roberta Dinnie, Janelle Perkins and Belinda Hodson in Wanneroo Western Australia  and inspired by a passion for sustainable living and community. since our beginning we have rewritten council by-laws and guidelines becoming the flagship of Community gardens in the Wanneroo Shire. The efforts of a handful of dedicated volunteers made our garden a reality, since then we've gained local support for our Community Garden. We encourage community members of all ages to join us as partners, sponsors, or volunteers.

Our chickens like to roam free when supervised. They aren't afraid to get up close and personal.

Its Spring, time to dig in and plant our new season crops

Be a part of growing our community.

We'd love to see our supporters come out of hibernation and join us in the garden, there's a playground for the children and a beautiful local heritage site at the same location.
